Hello, I’m Josette! A fun, laid back wedding and event photographer based in Hampshire - here for all the laughter and story telling moments. People are a massive source of inspiration for me, and what I enjoy the most is capturing those candid, genuine emotions.
I was raised in South East London, and moved to Southampton for university. Any guesses what I studied?! Well, if you guessed photography- you would be wrong! I studied Education ( I know what you’re thinking: totally related to photography, am I right?!). What it does mean - if you’re looking for a photographer and babysitter at weddings: then I’m your gal!
I started a job in photography alongside uni, spending my weekends in clubs till the early hours of the morning with nightclub photography (shout out to 24hr McDonald’s for keeping me alive those nights). Then I got into shooting festivals which I loveeeee! I realised a joy for capturing the candid in the moment photo’s of people having fun and thought what I should be doing is shooting weddings. So here I am now, and loving every second.

A little more about me personally: I am OBSESSED with the sky. I never get bored of a sunrise, sunset or starry sky. I’ll die happy once I’ve seen the northern lights!
I’m the biggest wet wipe of a human and cry at all the soppy things; all the dog videos on insta; every episode of Call the Midwife, so yes that means I’ll probably be there welling up during the speeches at your wedding!
I’m a sucker for ANYTHING Disney related. And my biggest guilty pleasure at the moment is a bit of country music!
For something as intimate and special as your wedding day, I feel it is crucial that you feel comfortable with your photographer! You are trusting them to capture memories that you will treasure forever and I think it’s important that they don’t feel like a stranger, but more as a friend. So here are some photos that I think best represent me: my love for photography as a job, my family and friends (but most importantly my dog ofc) and some of my favourite places!
My photography approach
I believe that we look our most naturally joyful, and genuine when we GENUINELY feel NATURALLY JOYFUL - your wedding day should feel special - you deserve to feel safe, appreciated and eat ease, not hemmed in or hounded! Your wedding photos should reflect and capture you at your best!
Your photos should preserve the magic of your day: they should be timeless, and transport you back every time you look at them. Your photos should show those in-between moments, the ones you never got to see - the ones that happened in a flash - and that end up existing only in stories afterwards. I’m there to be your friendly fly-on-the-wall, capturing those snapshots! I promise your memories and stories will be richer and more vibrant because of it!
For couple photos, I often work with couples that aren’t used to being in front of the camera. Unless you ask, I won’t stage you or direct you in a particular pose for couple or group photos. Unposed, joyful and organic, that is what I aim for! A huge part of achieving this together is being comfortable with your photographer! Because believe me I am awful on the other side of the camera; my friends know how much of a pain I am for being an awkward human having their photo taken (if you book me I promise to show you the horrific outtakes of photos from friends I have!). You are trusting me to capture memories that you will treasure forever. Why shouldn’t your photographer feel more like a friend?
I love connecting with and building a relationship with the couple ahead of the big day. I want to help you define and refine the style that does you and your relationship justice! All the candids, and nothing else? I’m there! But, I know some couples really connect with the elegance of more tightly choreographed couple photos. I’m here to enable you! I’m 100% in. I aim to see you happy, and I want you to feel that joy every time you revisit those moments for the rest of your life.
